Biden is out of touch with middle class Americans, praising record high gas prices as “an incredible transition” to promote his anti-American energy agenda.
Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm told Americans struggling with Biden’s gas hike that the solution is to buy an expensive EV.
It’s not just the White House - Sen. Debbie Stabenow (D-MI) bragged that “it didn’t matter how high [gas] was” while passing gas stations in her brand-new EV.
Biden is pushing EV tax credits that will force American taxpayers to pay for the expensive vehicles of wealthy liberal elites.
A study from the Fuels Institute found that “the top demographic” for electric vehicle owners was “middle-aged white men earning more than $100,000 annually with a college degree or higher.”
Under Biden’s EV credit, some more affordable EV options do not qualify, even though luxury vehicles do.
General Motors has announced plans to make electric vehicles more affordable, but Americans reliant on this option are out of luck since GM vehicles do not qualify for the federal credit.
Similarly, Toyota has reached its electric vehicle tax credit limit.
Rising gas prices could cost American households an additional $2,200 this year, with 67 percent of Americans saying higher prices at the pump are causing them “financial hardship.”
Meanwhile, as Americans get crushed at the pump, Biden’s policies are doing nothing to ease the pain.
Today, Biden is in Saudi Arabia begging a foreign country for oil instead of unleashing American energy and creating jobs here at home.
