The RNC Is Fighting Back Against Big Tech’s Attempts To Suppress And Censor Conservative Voices

THE REPUBLICAN NATIONAL COMMITTEE IS SUING GOOGLE FOR SUPPRESSING EMAILS

To fight back against blatant censorship by Big Tech, on Friday the RNC filed a lawsuit against Google for its suppression of Republican fundraising and get-out-the-vote (GOTV) emails.
- Google has been systematically attacking RNC email fundraising during crucial fundraising days at the end of each month for 10 months in a row.
- Delivery of RNC emails through Gmail falls from 90 to 100 percent delivery to nearly zero percent delivery during the final days of fundraising periods.
- This not only affects fundraising but also get-out-the-vote efforts during this critical period during the election.
- Since the start of Early Voting, Google has suppressed over 41.5 million RNC emails, over 1 million of them were get-out-the-vote emails.
Earlier this year, the Republican National Committee (RNC) along with the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) and National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) filed a complaint with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) after it was revealed that Google was suppressing conservative emails at a higher rate than liberal emails.
- A North Carolina State study found that Gmail “retained the majority of left-wing candidate emails in inbox” while sending “the majority of right-wing candidate emails to the spam folder.”
- Gmail was found to have sent Republican emails to spam folders at a significantly higher rate than its competitors at Yahoo and Outlook.
This bias cost Republican candidates and committees an estimated $2 billion in donations since 2019.
- This includes an estimated $529 million lost for Republican candidates since 2021.

BIG TECH HAS BEEN ACTIVELY SUPPRESSING CONSERVATIVE VOICES AND ORGANIZATIONS

An April report from the Media Research Center found 646 examples from March 2020 to March 2022 in which Big Tech removed content critical of Biden.
Beyond Google, its subsidiary YouTube has censored conservative voices.
- In May, YouTube removed a Heritage Foundation video of President Trump speaking to the group and even restricted Heritage from uploading any content for a week.
- In April, YouTube removed RNC Chairman Ronna McDaniel’s Real America podcast video with President Trump.
- In February, YouTube removed videos from the CPAC conference featuring President Trump and other conservative speakers.
Big Tech has even gone so far as to ban conservatives, including Twitter which banned President Trump and temporarily suspended Rep. Jim Banks (R-IN), and YouTube which temporarily suspended Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) and Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI).
- Meanwhile, Louis Farrakhan, Iran’s Ayatollah, human smugglers, Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro, and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) have been allowed to stay on these platforms.
In September, it was revealed that social media giant Snapchat reportedly provided Democrat groups such as the DNC, Planned Parenthood, and Stacey Abrams’ gubernatorial campaign access to Republican voter data.
When the theory that COVID-19 originated out of a lab began circulating online, Big Tech immediately banned these posts as misinformation and only later lifted the ban when this theory was found to be highly credible.
In 2020, Big Tech giants like Twitter and Facebook suppressed the Hunter Biden laptop story and even suspended the New York Post’s Twitter account in the days leading up to the election, despite the laptop’s authenticity verified by the legacy media months later.
A poll from Pew Research found that 77 percent of U.S. adults believe that social media platforms censor political viewpoints they don’t agree with.
- A CATO/YouGov survey found that 75 percent of Americans don’t trust social media companies to make fair decisions about what information is allowed to be posted on their platforms.

THE BIDEN ADMINISTRATION HAS REPEATEDLY ADVOCATED FOR BIG TECH CENSORSHIP

For nearly two years the Biden administration has been working with Big Tech to silence conservative voices it does not agree with.
In 2021, then-Press Secretary Jen Psaki called on Big Tech companies to jointly ban users from their platforms, saying Americans “shouldn’t be banned from one platform and not others.”
- Psaki went on to say the Biden administration is “in regular contact” with Big Tech companies to censor information that does not help their narrative.
The Biden administration went on to flag “problematic posts” it did not agree with to be taken down for “misinformation.”

THE BIDEN ADMINISTRATION ESTABLISHED AN ORWELLIAN “DISINFORMATION GOVERNANCE BOARD”

Biden established his own “Ministry of Truth” to track Americans and silence “misinformation” that the Biden administration does not support.
- This “Ministry of Truth” was going to work directly with social media companies to flag and remove user content deemed “misinformation” or “disinformation” without telling the user this was occurring.
The Biden administration appointed left-wing, anti-free speech radical Nina Jankowicz to chair the board, despite widespread opposition to her appointment.
- Jankowicz perpetrated misinformation by claiming that Hunter Biden’s laptop was Russian disinformation and a “Trump campaign product,” when even mainstream media outlets verified its authenticity.
- Jankowicz promoted the misinformation at the heart of the infamous Steele dossier that was proven unequivocally false.
After pressure from Republicans in Congress, Biden’s DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas finally announced that the “Ministry of Truth” would be terminated.
