Led By Joe Biden, Democrats Spread Lies About Georgia’s Election Law, Costing Peach State Businesses And Workers $100 Million

DEMOCRATS STOLE GEORGIA’S ALL-STAR GAME TO PUSH THEIR FEDERAL TAKEOVER OF ELECTIONS

• Tonight should have been Georgia’s night, but Democrats and woke corporations pressured MLB to boycott Georgia by spreading lies about the state’s new election law.
  • Joe Biden lied about the bill, falsely claiming it reduced early voting.
  • Raphael Warnock (D-GA) admitted to spreading misinformation that the bill eliminated no-excuse mail voting and restricted early voting.
  • Stacey Abrams falsely claimed the bill reduced voting hours.
  • Chuck Schumer (D-NY) falsely said the bill eliminated Sunday early voting.
• The Republican National Committee (RNC) released an ad to air nationwide during the All-Star game highlighting how Georgia was robbed due to Democrat lies.

GEORGIA’S NEW LAW EXPANDS VOTING OPPORTUNITIES

• The reality is Georgia’s election law expands voting opportunities by:
  • Expanding early voting and mandating early voting on the Saturday and Sunday before the election.
  • Allowing observation of the tabulation, scanning, and duplication of ballots.
  • Allowing voters to continue to vote absentee with no excuse.
  • Providing reasonable voter ID requirements when applying for and returning absentee ballots; voters can use their Driver’s License number, last four digits of their Social Security number, or a copy of another acceptable form of identification.
  • Prohibiting ballot harvesting and protecting the security of the ballot by prohibiting anyone other than an immediate family member from being in possession of a voters’ ballot.

GEORGIANS SUPPORT THIS NEW LAW DESPITE DEMOCRATS’ LIES

• Despite Democrats’ attempts to spread misinformation, Georgians support major provisions of this commonsense election integrity law.
  • 65 percent support voter ID for absentee ballots.
  • 60 percent endorse a cutoff for requesting absentee ballots of 11 days instead of four days before the election.
  • 55 percent believe that ballot drop boxes should only be allowed at election offices and early voting sites.

MLB MOVED THE ALL-STAR GAME OUT OF ATLANTA AFTER BIDEN SAID HE WOULD “STRONGLY SUPPORT” THE MOVE

• On March 31, MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred said he only had a “preliminary” conversation with the Players Association about the idea of moving this year’s All-Star Game out of Atlanta.
• But that night, Joe Biden said in an ESPN interview he would “strongly support” moving this year’s All-Star Game out of Georgia over its new voting law.
• Less than 48 hours later, MLB reacted and caved to political pressure, announcing it would move the All-Star Game.
  • Governor Kemp said MLB caved to “pressure from the White House” and made their decision because of “cancel culture and a bunch of liberal lies.”

CONSEQUENCES OF BIDEN’S LIES: GEORGIA’S WORKERS AND BUSINESSES PAY THE PRICE

• Biden’s top economic advisor admitted the Georgia boycott was meant to hurt small businesses.
  • Chair Of The Council Of Economic Advisors Cecilia Rouse: “There's undoubtedly going to be a cost, I think that was the point.”
• The tourism industry, one of the hardest hit by the pandemic, will further suffer as a result of the Biden boycott.
  • Georgia will lose an estimated $100 million in revenue because of the move and over 8,000 hotel rooms that were contracted for this game will no longer be needed.
• Moving the MLB game out of Georgia will likely “fall hardest on low-income and minority residents who work in the service sector,” with nearly 30 percent of businesses in Atlanta being Black-owned.
  • Atlanta is over 50 percent Black while Denver is less than 10 percent Black.
• Georgia business owners and workers say Democrats’ lies have taken money out of their pockets.
  • Darrell Anderson, owner of an Atlanta limousine business: “The $100 million in revenue to this area was going to be the opportunity for all of us to recover some of the losses that we incurred during the pandemic.”
