Biden’s Promises Have Been All Hat, No Cattle, Saddling Texans With Record-High Gas Prices, The Worst Border Crisis In DHS History, And The Highest Inflation In 40 Years

BIDEN WANTS TO BUILD TEXAS BACK BROKE

• Today, Biden is traveling to Fort Worth, Texas, where his approval rating is underwater by 15 points.
  • Barely one in three Texans approve of the job Biden is doing, and Democrat politicians are trying to distance themselves from the unpopular president.
• Biden has overseen the worst border crisis in DHS history, leading to spiking crime and drugs as hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants cross into the Lone Star State.
• Meanwhile, Texas workers and small businesses have been hit hard by rising prices, with inflation at a 40-year high while the state’s gas prices are expected to reach over $4 per gallon in the coming weeks.
• Despite all these crises, Biden continues to push his “Build Back Broke” agenda falsely claiming that it will not add to inflation, is “fully paid for,” and will not raise taxes on middle-class families.

BIDEN DOESN’T CARE ABOUT OUR MILITARY AND VETERANS

• While Biden’s visit is supposedly about caring for our nation’s veterans, throughout his time in office he has shown he cares little for the sacrifice of military members and their families:
  • Biden failed to mention the 13 American service members killed in Afghanistan during his State of the Union Address.
  • Biden disappointed Gold Star families and disrespected servicemembers who were killed in Afghanistan during a dignified transfer when he looked at his watch multiple times.
• Biden fueled an inflation crisis that is slamming military members and their families with rising costs and food insecurity.

BIDEN’S BORDER CRISIS ENDANGERS TEXANS

• More than two million illegal immigrants have been encountered at the southern border since Biden took office, creating a humanitarian crisis in Texas border communities.
• Since October, the El Paso sector has encountered more than 240 illegal immigrants with criminal and gang affiliations, with the number increasing by the day.
• The rise in criminals crossing the border comes as Biden has abandoned Border Patrol agents leaving them feeling “demonize[d].”
  • A CBP official in Texas said, “The U.S. Border Patrol has become part of the alien smuggling organizations by aiding, abetting, and facilitating the illegal aliens' movements throughout the U.S.”
• The border crisis has allowed drug smuggling to surge, with 839 pounds of fentanyl crossing the southern border in January alone.
  • The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) found a “direct link” between Mexican cartels and fentanyl-related overdose deaths.

RISING PRICES ARE CRUSHING TEXAS FAMILIES

• Nationally, consumer prices have risen by 7.5 percent compared to last year – marking the largest annual increase in 40 years.
  • Prices in Texas are rising even faster than the national average, with consumer prices rising by 7.8 percent throughout the South.
  • Bidenflation is costing the average Texas family $371 per month according to an estimate from Congress’ Joint Economic Committee.
• A recent Texas Politics Project poll shows 88 percent of Texans say prices have increased under Biden.
  • Gelaine Apuan, a small business owner in El Paso, Texas, says “prices have tripled” thanks to Bidenflation.

BIDEN WOULD RATHER BUY OIL FROM TERRORISTS THAN TEXAS

• Biden refuses to unleash American energy production that would lower costs, opting instead to ask socialist and terrorist-funding regimes to drill more.
  • In 2019, Texas was set to pump more oil than Iraq and Iran.
• Biden’s anti-American energy agenda is set to force one Texas refinery to go out of business, costing up to 21,000 barrels of oil a day and roughly 100 workers their jobs.
• Gas prices just reached the highest level ever recorded in the U.S. according to AAA, while Brent crude – the global benchmark – topped $130 a barrel.

  • Under Abbott, Texas is even completing the border wall to secure the state.
• Governor Abbott has law enforcement’s back, signing bills to prevent cities in Texas from defunding the police.
• Governor Abbott has championed a strong economic recovery, with Texas being one of only four states in the country to actually have more jobs now than when the pandemic began.
• Under Governor Abbott, Texas has become one of the most moved to states in the country as voters continue to flee failing Democrat-run states.
• Governor Abbott stood up for the liberty and freedom of Texans by banning the vaccine mandates that Biden and Democrats sought to force on Americans.
