New Consumer And Producer Price Spikes Show This Holiday Season Is A Whole Lot More Expensive


AMERICANS ARE FACING HIGHER PRICES AROUND THE HOLIDAY SEASON

  • With Christmas just around the corner, Bidenflation is set to make the holiday season a whole lot more expensive.
  • November’s consumer price index rose by 6.8 percent compared to last year – the largest annual increase in 39 years.
  • Producer prices have risen 9.6 percent since last November, the eighth month in a row it increased at the highest pace on record.
    • Core producer prices – which takes out food and energy – also increased at a record 7.7 percent.
  • American workers and families believe inflation will keep making their paychecks worth less and less.
    • According to a New York Federal Reserve survey, consumers expect prices to grow twice as fast as their wages this upcoming year.
  • As the Christmas season approaches and prices continue to soar, 56 percent of Americans are now reporting financial strain due to inflation.
