Republican-Led States Continue To Deliver More Jobs And Lower Unemployment While Democrat-Run States Lag Behind
REPUBLICAN-LED STATES ARE BRINGING BACK JOBS FASTER
- Newly released data from the Labor Department confirms that Republican governors and legislatures are leading the way in getting America back to work.
- Through June, nine of the top 10 states for jobs recovered since the coronavirus pandemic began are led by Republican governors, and all 10 states have Republican-controlled legislatures.
- The top five states for jobs recovered are all Republican-led.
- 12 of the 15 states that have more jobs than when the pandemic hit are Republican-led: Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Montana, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, and Utah.
- Republican-led states on average have recovered more than 102 percent of their lost jobs compared to just over 89 percent for Democrat-run states.

RED STATES HAVE LOWER UNEMPLOYMENT RATES
- Out of the top 20 states with the lowest unemployment rates, 16 are led by Republican governors and 16 have Republican-controlled legislatures.
- Eight of the 10 states with the lowest unemployment rates are led by Republicans.
- The average unemployment rate for the nation’s 28 states with Republican governors is just 3.0 percent.
- Democrat-led states have an average unemployment rate nearly a percentage point higher – 3.8 percent.
- 70 percent of the states with unemployment rates lower than when the pandemic began are led by Republican governors, and 83 percent have Republican-controlled legislatures.
- Out of the 14 states that have hit new record low unemployment rates, nine have Republican governors and 11 have Republican-controlled legislatures.

FAILED DEMOCRAT LEADERSHIP IS LEADING TO A BLUE STATE EXODUS
- Americans are voting with their feet, moving out of blue states for red states.
- Florida and Texas have seen some of the largest gains in new residents while states like California, Illinois, and New York are seeing their citizens leave in droves.
- Business is fleeing too; in Illinois, three major companies – Boeing, Caterpillar, and Citadel – recently announced they are leaving the state for the economic freedom and safety that Republican-led states offer.
- Other businesses are simply closing their doors in Democrat-run cities due to increased crime.
- Recently, Starbucks closed several stores in Seattle and Baltimore due to “safety concerns” consisting of “crime, assaults, thefts, [and] drug use.”
- Last year, Walgreens shuttered at least five stores in San Francisco due to “organized retail crime.”
DEMOCRATS WANT TO WASTE MORE TAXPAYER DOLLARS DESPITE MOUNTING INFLATION
- Under Biden, Americans are struggling to stay afloat amid 40-year high inflation and near-record high gas prices.
- Amber Dowdy, a Michigan mother of two: “We have lived comfortably for years … But now we’re living paycheck to paycheck.”
- Hermes Diaz, a New York contractor who recently took on a second job: “I can’t buy the same things I used to buy … I am buying a lot less, but I am spending more money.”
- Food pantries across the nation are seeing longer lines and increased demand as Americans are forced to cope with inflation.
- With this uptick in need, food pantries are experiencing a shortage of resources due to supply chain problems and higher costs.
- Biden and Democrats’ $1.9 trillion tax-and-spend agenda fueled inflation, robbing Americans of their hard earned money.
- Real average hourly earnings fell 3.6 percent over the last year, marking the 15th month in a row in which inflation has outpaced wages.
- Inflation has cost the average American household over $5,500 since their failed “stimulus” was passed.
- Despite this, Biden wants to ram through his irresponsible Build Back Broke agenda that will only make inflation worse and raise taxes on lower- and middle-class Americans.
