The Republican Party has a long history of breaking down barriers with the Jewish community.
- In 1906, Oscar Straus became the first Jewish Cabinet Member after being appointed by President Theodore Roosevelt.
- In 1925, Republican Florence Prag Kahn became the first Jewish woman elected to Congress.
- In 1973, Henry Kissinger became the first Jewish Secretary of State after being appointed by President Nixon.
- In 1975, Edward H. Levi was appointed by President Ford as the first Jewish Attorney General.

REPUBLICANS ARE MAKING INROADS WHILE BIDEN’S APPROVAL RATING WITH JEWISH AMERICANS PLUMMETS

Today, the RNC is opening its first Jewish Community Center in Boca Raton, Florida to make even stronger inroads with the Jewish community.
- Meanwhile, Democrats are allowing anti-Israel sentiment and anti-Semitism to grow in their party.
As Biden’s approval has fallen by 17 points among Jewish voters, Republicans are gaining support.
- Exit polling from the 2021 Virginia gubernatorial election shows Republicans made huge inroads among Jewish voters while Democrats saw a 10 point decline.
- In New York, North Hempstead – an area with a growing Jewish population – flipped Republican for the first time in at least eight years, electing Mazi Melesa Pilip as County Legislator.
- In the New York City Council election, Republicans gained a seat in a heavily Orthodox Jewish neighborhood, electing Inna Vernikov to represent District 48.

DEMOCRATS REFUSE TO CONDEMN GROWING ANTI-SEMITISM IN THEIR PARTY

Biden and Democrats have allowed anti-Semitism to flourish in their party by refusing to condemn anti-Semitic members and implementing policies that exacerbate dangerous anti-Israel and anti-Semitic ideas.
Ilhan Omar (D-MN) has a long record of targeting Jewish people and Israel, including accusing Israel of “hypnotiz[ing] the world,” equating Israel’s security forces with the terrorist group Hamas, promoting the anti-Semitic BDS movement, and charging supporters of Israel with “allegiance to a foreign country.”
- House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) went so far as calling Omar a “valued member” of the Democrat caucus, admitting that the Democrat party “did not rebuke her” and fervently recommended “no” action be taken against her.
- M ore than 200 rabbis wrote a letter directly attributing mob attacks on American Jews today to “the rhetoric of Rep. Omar and those who stand with her within and beyond Congress.”
Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) said she got a “calming feeling” when discussing the Holocaust, said “we need to stop” “enabling” Israel while Hamas was launching rockets at civilians, called Israel a “violent apartheid system,” and labeled then-Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu the “Apartheid-in-chief.”
Cori Bush (D-MO), an outspoken supporter of the anti-Semitic BDS movement, accused Israel of “apartheid” and refused to grant an interview to a local Jewish newspaper in her congressional district.
Raphael Warnock (D-GA) signed a letter accusing Israel of apartheid.
Barbara Lee (D-CA), Maxine Waters (D-CA), Danny Davis (D-IL), Andre Carson (D-IN), Gregory Meeks (D-NY), Jim Clyburn (D-SC) and Al Green (D-TX), and Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-GA) have ties to or have spoken positively of Louis Farrakhan, “America’s leading anti-Semite.”
Betty McCollum (D-MN) introduced a resolution urging Biden to condemn Israel and support Palestinian terrorist organizations which is cosponsored by 10 House Democrats.

BIDEN AND DEMOCRATS HAVE FAILED TO STAND UP TO ANTI-ISRAEL ACTIVISTS

Biden and Democrat leadership have repeatedly failed to condemn anti-Israel smears and statements from within their own party.
Biden’s problem started on day one of his presidency when he had a preacher with a history of anti-Israel statements, Rev. William Barber, at his inaugural prayer service.
- Barber’s history includes calling Israel an “apartheid state” and downplaying the Holocaust, yet, Biden has failed to condemn Barber’s statements.
Biden’s own Vice President Kamala Harris has repeatedly failed to stand up to anti-Israel activists.
- Last month, Kamala Harris rushed to assure BDS activists that the use of Israeli wine during a Passover Seder she attended was not a reflection of pro-Israel policy.
- In September, Kamala Harris nodded along as she listened to a student who accused Israel of “ethnic genocide.”
- Iran, which supports and funds terrorism in Israel, promoted Harris’ failure to stand up to the smear on social media.
When House Democrats tried to slash Iron Dome funding for Israel, Biden failed to denounce the attempt despite his administration’s pledge that aid to Israel would “not be conditional.”
- Anti-Defamation League President Jonathan Greenblattcalled this move a “shameful act” which “emboldens” terrorist organizations such as “Hamas and Hezbollah” fueling anti-Semitism.
Last April, Biden restored fundingfor the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in The Near East (UNRWA), which has a history of anti-Semitic and anti-Israel incidents.
- A report by UN Watchfound “113 instances of incitement to violence by UNRWA staff” towards Jewish individuals.
- This included instances of idolizing Hitler, claiming Jewish people “want to rule the world and destroy Islam,” and a statement that Jewish people were “responsible for the coronavirus.”
In October, the Biden administration announced plans to open a Palestinian consulate in Jerusalem despite Israel’s objection that the move would delegitimize Israel, destabilize the Middle East, and threaten the security of Israel.
In March, the Biden administration even offered funding for efforts to demonize and delegitimize Israel.
- The State Department offered up nearly $1 million in grant money for groups to “investigate alleged human rights abuses” in Israel, a move these groups could later use to lobby to “sanction Israel, promote BDS and use the ‘apartheid’ label.”

JEWISH AMERICANS HAVE BEEN HIT BY DEMOCRATS’ DEFUND THE POLICE AGENDA

Democrat calls to defund the police have led to a surge in crime, with fourteenmajor Democrat-run cities setting all-time high homicide records in 2021.
- In 2021, anti-Semitic hate crimes reached a record high in the U.S., spiking by 34 percent compared to 2020.
The wave of crime plaguing the nation has particularly impacted the Jewish community, leading some Jewish Americans to “tamp down their public displays of Jewishness as a way to protect themselves.”
- In Texas, an anti-Semitic terrorist attack led to four Jews, including a Rabbi, being held hostagein their synagogue during a Saturday morning Shabbat service.
- In New York, a woman was arrested for harassing and spitting on an eight-year-old Jewish childoutside a synagogue.
In January, The New York Police Department reported a 409 percent increase in anti-Semitic hate crimes since last year.

BIDEN KEEPS LYING TO JEWISH AMERICANS AS HE TRIES TO PANDER TO THEM

During a talk with Jewish leaders in September, Biden lied about visiting Pittsburgh’s Tree of Life synagogue after the 2018 mass shooting.
- Barb Feige, the executive director of the Tree of Life, confirmed that Biden had not visited the Tree of Life Synagogue, the location of the worst anti-Jewish hate crime in U.S. history.
In December, Biden lied to Jewish community members and Rabbis saying that he was invited by Prime Minister Golda Meir to serve as a “liaison” during Israel’s Six-Day War.
