New Data Confirms Republican-Led States Continue To Deliver More Jobs And Lower Unemployment
REPUBLICAN-LED STATES ARE BRINGING BACK JOBS FASTER
- Newly released data from the Labor Department confirms that Republican governors and legislatures are leading the way in getting America back to work.
- Through August, nine of the top 10 states for jobs recovered since the coronavirus pandemic began are led by Republican governors, and all 10 states have Republican-controlled legislatures.
- The top three states for jobs recovered are all Republican-led.
- 12 of the 19 states that have more jobs than when the pandemic hit are Republican-led: Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Montana, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, and
- Republican-led states on average have recovered more than 107 percent of their lost jobs compared to 94 percent for Democrat-run states.

RED STATES HAVE LOWER UNEMPLOYMENT RATES
- Out of the top 18 states with the lowest unemployment rates, 15 are led by Republican governors and 14 have Republican-controlled legislatures.
- 10 of the top 12 states with the lowest unemployment rates are led by Republicans.
- The average unemployment rate for the nation’s 28 states with Republican governors is just 3.0 percent.
- Democrat-led states have an average unemployment rate more than half a percentage point higher – 3.7 percent.
- The average unemployment rate for Democrat-led states actually increased in August.
- 70 percent of the states with unemployment rates lower than when the pandemic began are led by Republican governors, and 80 percent have Republican-controlled legislatures.
- Out of the nine states that have hit new record low unemployment rates, seven have Republican governors and seven have Republican-controlled legislatures.

AMERICAN FAMILIES AND WORKERS ARE PAYING THE PRICE FOR BIDENFLATION
- Under Biden, Americans are struggling to stay afloat with inflation at a 40-year high and average gas prices $1.30 per gallon higher than when he took office.
- Nearly everything costs more, from gas (+26 percent) and groceries (+14 percent) to rent (+6 percent) and baby food (+13 percent).
- Americans are increasingly forced to go into debt just to pay for their groceries.
- One Baltimore mother said, “I even have to go to the grocery store in the early morning — like 6 or 7 in the morning — so I can get the cheap meat because they sell meat from yesterday cheaper.”
- More Americans are turning to food banks to feed their families.
- In Nevada, one in six children face hunger as “Inflation is crippling donations” to charities.
- In Ohio, “foodbanks don’t have enough food to keep up with demand.”
- There is no relief in sight for families forced to pay higher prices, as Biden and Democrats continue to fuel inflation with widely unpopular policies such as their student loan bailout.
- A New York City Resident said, “I paid for my student loan, and everyone else should pay for theirs too.”
- Matt Coday, an oil worker from Texas: “[it’s] Just one more slap in the face from an administration that’s trying to kill our jobs."
