The Biden Doctrine: Weakness

Biden Traded Tough Talk For Fist Bumps

IN THE MIDDLE EAST, BIDEN LET AMERICANS DOWN

  • After four days in the Middle East, Biden failed to put America in a strong position in the region.
  • As he begged for oil in Saudi Arabia and fist bumped the Saudi Crown Prince, Biden turned his back on Americans.
  • During this trip, Biden failed to stand with America’s strongest Middle Eastern ally, Israel.

BIDEN HAS ABANDONED AMERICA’S STRONGEST MIDDLE EASTERN ALLY

  • During Biden’s visit to Israel, Biden claimed that the U.S. relationship with Israel is “deeper and stronger than ever” without acknowledging actions that his administration has taken to undermine the Jewish State.
  • While discussing his upcoming visit to Yad Vashem, Israel’s Holocaust Museum, Biden mistakenly vowed to “keep alive the truth and honor of the Holocaust.”
  • During his visit to Palestine, Biden bragged about reversing the prior administration’s policies towards the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), and announced an additional $200 million in aid for the corrupt organization.
    • A report by UN Watch found “113 instances of incitement to violence by UNRWA staff” towards Jewish individuals.
    • This included instances of idolizing Hitler, claiming Jewish people “want to rule the world and destroy Islam,” and a statement that Jewish people were “responsible for the coronavirus.”
  • While visiting East Jerusalem, Biden’s limousine failed to display an Israeli flag, signaling that the sovereignty of Israel’s capital “is on the table for negotiation” and boosting the “Palestinian Authority’s claim to that section of the city
    • Six House Republicans wrote a letter contesting his visit as “continued support [for] the Palestinians in their illegitimate efforts to claim east Jerusalem.”

BIDEN PRIORITIZED SAUDI ENERGY OVER AMERICAN ENERGY

  • Biden should have visited states like Texas, Pennsylvania, and North Dakota to ramp up U.S. energy production, but instead traveled almost 7,000 miles to Saudi Arabia where he begged the foreign nation for more oil.
    • There, Biden slammed U.S. energy producers when he said, “we’ll see [lower gas prices] when we see gas stations start to lower their price consistent with what they’re paying for the oil…”
  • As Biden traveled to beg for oil from what he previously deemed the “pariah state,” policy experts warned the trip would not lower energy prices.
    • Brookings, a left-leaning think tank said Biden’s trip was “unlikely to lower oil prices.”
    • Bob McNally, a former Bush National Security Council international energy adviser: “This week’s trip won’t change much on the oil policy front.”
  • Biden failed to secure commitments from Saudi Arabia about an immediate rise in oil production, with one U.S. official confirming “that an immediate Saudi oil output boost was not expected.”

BIDEN DENIED AMERICANS ANSWERS AND TRANSPARENCY

  • Throughout the trip, Biden failed to show the American people that they were a part of Biden’s trip abroad as he avoided the press, dodged questions, and dismissed dissenting voices.
