1.2 MILLION ILLEGAL BORDER CROSSINGS UNDER BIDEN SO FAR

• In August, 208,887 illegal immigrants were apprehended attempting to cross the U.S.-Mexico border, making this the highest number for August in 21 years and the second month in a row where encounters have surpassed 200,000.
  • It’s a 317 percent increase over last August, and a 340 percent increase from the average number of August apprehensions during the Trump administration.
  • 18,847 unaccompanied children were apprehended. 
• Over 1.2 million illegal immigrants have been caught attempting to cross the border since Biden took office – that’s a higher total than any year since 2001.
  • More illegal immigrants have crossed the southern border in the last three months than in all of Fiscal Year 2020.
  • The number of illegal crossings at the border has risen at a faster rate under Biden than at any time in recent history.
• Illicit drugs are flowing into the country at an alarming rate, with 1,104 pounds of fentanyl and 19,671 pounds of methamphetamine seized at the southern border in August alone, the highest numbers yet for the Biden administration.
• 43,941 illegal immigrants were released into the U.S. just in this past month.

CHILDREN ARE SUFFERING UNDER BIDEN’S WATCH

• The Biden administration has already lost contact with 1 in 3 migrant children they released between January and May of this year.
• Unaccompanied children are suffering as many HHS intake sites for minors “adhere to none of the agency’s existing standards.”
• A whistleblower report on living conditions in HHS run children’s facilities in Texas found children are being denied bathroom trips and have reported burnt and blistered skin from “skin lightening” lotion.

BIDEN IMPOSES VACCINE MANDATES ON AMERICANS WHILE LETTING COVID COME ACROSS THE BORDER

• Biden’s reckless open borders agenda has led to COVID-positive illegal immigrants coming into American communities.
  • In recent weeks “more than 18 percent of migrant families and 20 percent of unaccompanied minors” tested positive for COVID.
  • One Texas county reported a 107 percent increase in COVID infections in a week among unaccompanied minors in its facilities.
• Under Biden’s open borders agenda, COVID-positive illegal immigrants are being given bus and planetickets to travel through the U.S. as local health systems are forced to cope.
• While Biden is forcing a vaccine mandate for American citizens, he is not mandating the vaccine for illegal immigrants.

CRIME HAS SPIKED DUE TO BIDEN’S OPEN BORDERS AGENDA

• In the El Paso Sector, Border Patrol reported nearly double the amount of attacks against its agents this year as crime rises at the border.
  • El Paso Border Patrol Chief Gloria Chavez: “We are dealing with more criminal activity. We have a mixture of bad actors with the regular migrants.”
  • Former Acting ICE Director Tom Homan: “142 Border Patrol Agents were lost in the line of duty … In addition there have been 10 COVID deaths, in the line of duty covid deaths this year.”
• A Border Patrol Agent was recently hospitalized after being attacked by five illegal immigrants that were attempting to smuggle a group of 15 illegal immigrants across the border near San Diego.

EVEN DEMOCRATS SAY THE SITUATION IS “UNSUSTAINABLE” AND GETTING “WORSE”

• Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas privately admitted to Border Patrol agents that “if our borders are the first line of defense, we're going to lose and this is unsustainable.”
• Laredo, Texas Democrat Mayor Pete Saenz: “My understanding was that President Biden ran on a virtual wall or smart wall containment. We haven’t seen those elements and it’s just getting worse. Does he want the border to exist?”
• Democrat Texas State Senator Juan “Chuy” Hinojosa: “I always say that when a nation does not control its border, when a nation cannot define its border, it ceases to be a nation. Right now, we do not control our border.”

BIDEN’S OPEN BORDERS POLICIES ARE FAILING

  • In Biden’s first 100 days in office he took more than 94 executive actions on immigration, including halting construction of the border wall and ending the Trump administration’s successful “Remain in Mexico” policy.
  • Biden is even sending millions of dollars to Tajikistan to help secure their border, while his own border crisis worsens each week.
• Courts have even ruled that several of the Biden administration’s immigration policies are illegal.
  • A federal judge ruled that the Biden administration must reinstate the Trump administration’s successful “Remain in Mexico” policy after Biden ended it on his first day in office.
  • U.S. District Judge Drew Tipton halted a pair of memos from the Biden administration instructing ICE to limit arrests.
