BIDEN’S BORDER CRISIS CONTINUES WITH THE WORST OCTOBER IN DHS HISTORY

U.S. Customs and Border Protection announced on Monday night that 164,303 illegal immigrants were apprehended attempting to cross the U.S.-Mexico border in October.
- That is the highest total for October in the history of the Department of Homeland Security.
- This is a 128 percent increase over last October, and a 209 percent increase from the average number of October apprehensions during the Trump administration.
- 12,807 unaccompanied children were apprehended.
Over 1.6 million illegal immigrants have been caught attempting to cross the border since Biden took office, including more than a million since Biden falsely claimed he had “gotten control” of the border.
- More illegal immigrants have crossed the southern border in the last three months than in all of Fiscal Year 2020.
- The number of illegal crossings at the border has risen at a faster rate under Biden than at any time in recent history.
17,126 illegal immigrants were released into the U.S. by Border Patrol just in this past month.
- Biden as president has released 264,629 illegal immigrants into the U.S. with “Notices to Appear,” in sharp contrast to the just 17 illegal immigrants President Trump released in his last full month.
- Biden began releasing migrants with “Notices to Report” in March, meaning that another 95,000 illegal immigrants have been released into the U.S. untracked and unprocessed.

VOTERS AGREE: BIDEN AND HIS OPEN BORDER POLICIES ARE TO BLAME FOR THE CRISIS

A recent Harvard/Harris poll found that more than 80 percent of voters believe illegal immigration is a “serious” issue right now, with 49 percent of voters saying it is “very serious.”
- 65 percent of voters believe Biden’s immigration executive orders have encouraged illegal immigration and 68 percent want to see tighter immigration policies.
Despite the mounting crisis, Biden still has not been to the border to see the crisis for himself.
- Other than a brief drive-by 13 years ago, there is still no record that Biden has ever visited the border.
Biden’s failed policies created the crisis at our southern border.
- In Biden’s first 100 days in office he took more than 94 executive actions on immigration, including halting construction of the border wall and ending the Trump administration’s successful “Remain in Mexico” policy.
- Illegal immigrants are thanking Biden for his weak immigration policies, saying that they “didn’t even want to try” crossing the border when Trump was president.

NOW BIDEN WANTS TO PAY ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS FOR BREAKING THE LAW

The Biden administration is considering paying some illegal immigrants who broke the law $450,000 each.
- These $450,000 payments would exceed the amount paid to victims of the 9/11 attacks and the Boston Marathon bombings.
- These illegal immigrants may even receive the money tax free.
When asked about this proposal, Biden said this claim was “untrue” and “that’s not gonna happen.”
- Yet the next day, Biden spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre said Biden was “perfectly comfortable” with this proposal.
- Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandra Mayorkas also confirmed that the Biden administration was considering paying these illegal immigrants.
- Biden was then forced to admit that he does support these payments to illegal immigrants.
A Rasmussen poll found that 66 percent of likely voters oppose this policy.
- A Trafalgar poll found that even 45 percent of Democrats oppose these payments.

WITH BIDEN DOING NOTHING, THE PROBLEM IS ONLY GOING TO GET WORSE

A large migrant caravan, between 3,000 to 4,000 migrants, including up to 1,000 children, are approaching the southern border with the Biden administration doing nothing to stop the flow.
- Reports show that up to half of the migrants in this caravan have some kind of illness, including multiple children with dengue fever and possible coronavirus cases.
In south Texas, more than 100 miles of border wall materials are “just sitting there going to absolute waste.”
- Meanwhile, the White House spent nearly half a million dollars on a wall around Biden’s beach house in Delaware.

UNDER BIDEN, DRUG TRAFFICKING AT THE BORDER IS SURGING

Illicit drugs are flowing into the country at an alarming rate, with 899 pounds of fentanyl and 15,631 pounds of methamphetamine seized at the southern border in October alone.
Rather than acknowledge the massive surge in fentanyl smuggling, the White House has brushed it off as evidence the administration has “stop[ed] fentanyl trafficking.”
- This is completely false, with Joshua Sharfstein of the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health saying, “If they're seizing a lot, it's because a lot is coming in.”

BIDEN’S BORDER POLICIES HAVE LED TO RISING CRIME

An illegal immigrant was recently arrested in Florida for murder after entering the U.S. by claiming he was a 17-year-old minor, taking advantage of Biden’s open border policies.
- This comes after the Biden administration was exposed for flying illegal unaccompanied children around the U.S. in the middle of the night.
This month, human smugglers caught trafficking illegal immigrants in Texas led sheriffs on a more than 40 mile chase that reached top speeds of 125 mph, endangering the local community.
10,763 illegal immigrants with a criminal history were caught crossing the border this past fiscal year, 1,904 of which had outstanding warrants for their arrest.
- This is in addition to the 348 gang members apprehended this past fiscal year, with 148 of those gang members caught in the Rio Grande Valley.

THE BIDEN ADMINISTRATION HAS ABANDONED AND ATTACKED THE BORDER PATROL

The Biden administration has refused to take strong action to address the border crisis, leaving Border Patrol agents feeling abandoned.
- Border Patrol agents are forced to release illegal immigrants out the back doors of stations without providing documentation because they are so overwhelmed.
618 Border Patrol agents were assaulted in the line of duty in the last fiscal year, with a record 70 agents attacked in April.
Biden’s unconstitutional vaccine mandate is threatening the livelihoods of thousands of Border Patrol agents, with government documents showing that more than half of current Border Patrol agents “could be fired.”
