Despite Democrat Hysteria, Elections Ran Smoothly Last Week In States That Have Passed Election Integrity Laws

THE 2021 ELECTIONS PROVE THAT COMMON-SENSE ELECTION INTEGRITY LAWS WORK

• With just one year until the 2022 midterm elections, the Republican National Committee (RNC) is running the most comprehensive legal strategy to date to ensure that elections are free, fair, and transparent.
• Despite Democrats’ attempts to delegitimize election integrity laws, voters are seeing the results of making it easier to vote and harder to cheat.
• In Georgia, Democrats lied about SB202, Georgia’s election integrity law, which led to a Democrat-backed boycott meant to hurt small businesses.
  • On Election Day, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution wrote that voters saw “short lines,” “few problems,” and no “obstacles at the polls.”
• In Florida, Democrats disgustingly attempted to smear SB90, Florida’s new election law, as “Jim Crow” in attempt to generate outrage about the bill. 
  • On Election Day, reports from Florida’s counties were that the elections went off “without a hitch, with no reports of malfunctions, long lines or other issues at polling places.”
  • For the congressional special election in Broward and Palm Beach counties, election officials reported “smooth” voting and no issues related to the state’s new election law.
• Of the 19 states the left-wing Brenan Center for Justice says have implemented election integrity measures, 17 of them held elections last week and none reported any major election issues.

NEW YORK VOTERS REJECTED BALLOT INITITATIVES TO WEAKEN ELECTION INTEGRITY

• In New York, two statewide ballot measures sought to eliminate provisions of the state constitution that prevented same-day voter registration and universal vote-by-mail.
  • The provisions were staunchly opposed in many upstate counties — including in Erie County, home of the heavily Democratic city of Buffalo.
  • Neither measure received more than 40 percent of the vote.

GOP-TRAINED POLL WATHCERS TURNED OUT ACROSS VIRGINIA

• Working alongside Glenn Youngkin’s team, the RNC, RGA, RSLC, and Republican Party of Virginia fought to ensure that the state’s election was free, fair, and transparent.
• In total the Republican National Committee’s election integrity team has: 
  • Held over 50 trainings with over 3,200 attendees. 
  • Invested hundreds of thousands of dollars in election integrity staff and operations. 
  • Had volunteer poll watchers at over 85 percent of all early polling locations across Virginia and stood at over 90 percent planned for Election Day.
    • This included scheduling over 3,500 early voting poll-watching shifts, as well as nearly 3,000 election day poll-watching shifts. 
  • Maintained 100 percent coverage at absentee ballot processing locations in 37 targeted counties. 
• The Republican Party will increase its poll watching and election litigation efforts for the 2022 midterm elections and beyond.

THE RNC IS DEFENDING STATES’ ABILITY TO MAKE IT EASIER TO VOTE AND HARDER TO CHEAT

• As Democrats and the Biden administration are weaponizing the Department of Justice against popular election laws, the RNC is intervening to defend election integrity.
• In Georgia, the Department of Justice filed a “politicized and baseless lawsuit” in an attempt to overturn Georgia’s new election integrity law, SB202.
  • The RNC and NRSC were granted intervention in Georgia against the Department of Justice’s “politically motivated lawsuit.”
• In Arizona, a lawsuit was filed challenging SB1485, the state’s new law to secure voter rolls for future elections.
  • The RNC and the NRSC have been granted intervention to defend the law. 
• In Florida, four separate lawsuits from far-left groups threatened to slow down efforts to shore up the state’s election laws.
  • The RNC and NRSC have been granted intervention in all four lawsuits.

BY A WIDE MARGIN, AMERICANS SUPPORT COMMON-SENSE REFORMS TO SECURE ELECTIONS

• Americans see through Democrats’ lies, instead supporting Republicans’ common-sense election integrity initiatives by a wide margin.
  • By a 33 point margin, Americans believe that voting in their area is “easy” and want the main objective of any reforms to focus on making sure elections are “fair and free of voter fraud.”
  • Support for voter ID laws has risen 13 percentage points among Black Americans and stands at 81 percent among all voters. 
• 68 percent of voters believe that state legislatures should decide the voting rules and regulations for their state, not the federal government.
• A Republican National Committee poll found that:
  • 80 percent of voters support voter ID.
  • 87 percent of voters are against ballot trafficking.
  • 78 percent of all voters endorse a proposed voting plan with these five common-sense measures: presenting voter ID, signature verification, chain of custody controls, bipartisan observers, and cleaning up voter rolls.
