In Less Than Two Weeks, Kentucky And Mississippi Will Have An Opportunity To Reject The Failed Democrat Agenda
VOTE REPUBLICAN ON NOVEMBER 7
- The 2023 elections are less than two weeks away, giving Americans the chance to flip Kentucky and keep Mississippi red.
- With 58 percent of Americans believing the country is on the wrong track under Democrat leadership, Republicans provide a brighter vision and a proven track record of success.
- Republican-led states are the ones creating jobs and leading economic growth.
RED VERSUS BLUE LEADERSHIP IN ACTION
- Under Democrat Governor Andy Beshear, Kentucky has one of the highest unemployment rates in the country, ranking 43rd.
- Kentucky ranked 39th for getting children back to in-person school during the 2020-2021 school year, while 19 of the top 20 states – including Mississippi – were led by Republicans.
- Democrat school closures have had a devastating impact on children, with Kentucky students performing the worst they’ve done in decades on national math and reading tests.
- Republican-led Mississippi has the lowest rate of homelessness in the nation (4.1 percent), while Democrat-run Kentucky has a rate more than double that of Mississippi (8.8 percent).
- While many blue state schools suffered from covid shutdowns, students in Mississippi have seen their reading scores skyrocket, from the second worst in the country in 2013 for fourth-grade reading to top 25 in 2022.
ANDY BESHEAR IS FAILING KENTUCKY
- Kentucky families are unhappy with Democrat Gov. Andy Beshear and are looking for new leadership.
- Beshear was caught lying when he claimed gender reassignment surgeries on minors “don’t happen in Kentucky,” when these surgeries were in fact occurring.
- Beshear believes that biological boys should be able to compete in girls’ sports, even after puberty as long as “surgical anatomical changes” have taken place.
- Beshear used the COVID pandemic as grounds to release 1,700 criminals from prison, calling his decision “reasonable.”
- More than half of the prisoners released by Beshear have gone on to commit new felonies – including kidnapping and sexual assault.
- Kentucky has seen a historic number of drug overdoses in recent years, with fentanyl being a leading cause.
- Beshear claims that he fights for “Kentucky’s coal country,” but refused to back a bill that would have made it harder to close the state’s coal power plants.
- As an attorney, Beshear worked to get the cases of child abusers dismissed –defending the Boy Scouts of America against men who alleged they were abused by their scoutmasters as minors.
- In 2022, Beshear vetoed a bill that would have reduced the state’s personal income tax rate.
- Beshear supports Kentuckians having to endure another four years of Joe Biden’s failures.
BRANDON PRESLEY WOULD BE WRONG FOR MISSISSIPPI
- Democrat candidate Brandon Presley is just another radical liberal who would be wrong for Mississippi.
- Presley has voted for Democrats all of his life, including Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama.
- Presley has described himself as a “proud New Deal Democrat.”
- After decrying politicians who use private planes to campaign as not being on “the side of the people,” Presley posted, then quietly deleted, a social media post showing him traveling by private plane.
- Presley opposes vouchers that let children in failing public school districts attend private and charter schools.
- Presley supported raising Mississippians’ utility rates so that some homes can get money to install solar panels.
- Presley said he would not have signed legislation that outlawed “gender-affirming care” for minors.
- Presley accepted campaign donations from green energy entities he oversees as a public service commissioner.
- Presley also took money from a Chinese national tied to the Chinese Communist Party, as well as a buyer of Hunter Biden’s artwork.
