Because of Biden’s Anti-American Energy Agenda, Families Will Be Forced To Pay Even More To Heat Their Homes And Fill Up Their Gas Tanks
BIDEN’S ANTI-AMERICAN ENERGY AGENDA
BIDEN FAVORS FOREIGN OVER DOMESTIC OIL
- Instead of visiting states like Texas, Pennsylvania, and North Dakota to ramp up U.S. energy production, Biden has continuously begged hostile foreign nations to produce oil.
- Last November, OPEC ignored calls from Biden to pump more oil.
- In February, Biden had a call with Saudi Arabia where he begged for oil.
- In March, the administration traveled to Venezuela to enter discussions with the illegitimate, criminal Maduro regime to pump more oil.
- In March, Biden’s Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg admitted buying oil from Iran is “on the table.”
- In July, Biden traveled almost 7,000 miles to Saudi Arabia to personally beg for more oil.
- Last week, Biden “launched a full-scale pressure campaign” to dissuade OPEC from cutting oil production.
- Biden’s diplomacy was so bad that even though OPEC was originally considering a cut of one million barrels per day, the cartel announced an actual production cut of two million barrels per day.
- Faced again with a chance to unleash American energy, the Biden administration is instead planning to ease sanctions on Venezuela in exchange for oil.
KILLING AMERICAN ENERGY: A PROMISE KEPT BY BIDEN
- As president, Biden has spent the last year and a half pushing policies meant to crush American energy.
- On his first day in office, the Biden administration “issued a memo suspending the authority of the local Bureau of Land Management offices to approve leases, drilling permits, and mining operations.”
- In June 2021, the Biden administration suspended oil and gas leases in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR).
- Last November, the Biden administration announced multiple policies that targeted American-made energy.
- The administration proposed increasing royalty rates on domestic oil production and limiting areas available for development, which would ultimately make it more expensive to drill for oil and gas on public lands.
- The administration admitted it was “studying” shutting down the Line 5 Pipeline in Wisconsin and Michigan.
- The administration announced new regulations for methane emissions which are expected to cost U.S. producers over $1 billion a year.
- In February, the Biden administration indefinitely delayed planned oil and gas lease sales on public lands.
- In March, Biden took new steps to suppress American energy, declining “to appeal a federal court decision vacating the only lease sale held on federal lands or waters.”
- In May, The Biden administration announced a new rule requiring companies to “disclose greenhouse emissions.”
- Last week, it was announced that the Biden administration is weighing a “complete block on offshore oil drilling” which supplies 15 percent of America’s oil and gas.
BIDEN’S ANTI-AMERICAN ENERGY AGENDA HAS EMPTIED AMERICANS’ POCKETS
- This winter, Americans should expect to pay 17 percent more for their heating bills, “reaching the highest cost in more than a decade.”
- Jason Bell from Pennsylvania: “The prices of everything have escalated to the point that a part-time job may not be enough to supplement the increases of bills that we have budgeted.”
- Deanna Schultz from Illinois: “Last month I had $16 left after paying bills.”
- As of August, a “historic” amount of households – one in six – are behind on utility payments due to “soaring energy costs.”
- On top of higher heating bills, U.S. gas prices are now on the rise at nearly $4.00 per gallon.
