Chaos On The Road Near Arizona's Border

Criminal cartels trafficking illegal immigrants continue to fuel dangerous, deadly car chases in Arizona. “‘It's a daily occurrence along the interstate and the major highways leading up into the Phoenix metropolitan area,’ said Ray Rede, assistant special agent in charge for U.S. Homeland Security Investigations,” the Arizona Republic reported today. The crashes are piling up.

On the night of Feb. 28, 2022, after a dangerous pursuit, local law enforcement successfully took the fleeing Honda Civic off road. The driver was speeding northbound towards I-10, turning the headlights on and off, traveling at excessive speed and veering into incoming traffic,” the Republic reported.

Deputies working with Operation Safe Streets, an interagency effort responding to rising fail to yield incidents, assisted Border Patrol and filed a complaint against the driver for endangerment and kidnapping,” the Republic reported.

While local law enforcement and Arizona Republicans are cracking down, what is the response from Arizona Democrats like Katie Hobbs? Deny the crisis and defund the police.

Hobbs wants to be governor, but her views on the border are far too extreme:

“The Biden Border Crisis has fueled a surge of deadly car crashes in Arizona. That hasn’t stopped Arizona Democrats like Katie Hobbs from promising to make conditions worse by defunding the police and enacting open borders policies if elected.” – RNC Spokesperson Ben Petersen
