We can't let Biden "finish the job"

We already know one of Joe Biden’s favorite campaign slogans: “finish the job.”

Americans, though, can’t afford to let Biden “finish the job.” In fact, his slogan is actually a warning against his reelection.

In Biden’s America, real wages are down, incomes are down, and savings are down.

• Inflation has been at or above 5% for 23 consecutive months despite Biden’s false claim it would be “temporary.”
• Americans have lost over $10,000 on average paying for the increased cost of living since Biden took office.  
• Real wages have fallen every month since Biden and Democrats passed their wasteful $1.9 trillion “stimulus.”
  • Even liberal economists like former Obama advisors Larry Summers, Steve Rattner, and Jason Furman, along with Biden’s own Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, say Biden fueled inflation.
• Biden’s policies – including his student debt bailout and his $6.9 trillion budget – will only make inflation worse.
• Recent polls show that when Biden claims his economic “plan” is “working,” he could not be more out of touch with reality.
  • Gallup poll: 83% have a negative view of the economy.
  • CNBC survey: 70% are financially stressed and 58% are living paycheck to paycheck.
  • CNN poll: 62% disapprove of Biden’s handling of the economy, and only 32% say he deserves to be reelected.

In Biden’s America, the middle class is footing the bill for Democrats’ destructive agenda.

• Biden raised the tax burden on people making as little as $20,000 per year, breaking his campaign promise.
• He supercharged the IRS with $80 billion, which will lead to an estimated 710,000 new audits of people making less than $75,000 per year.
• The Biden administration is going after Americans who earn just $600 on payment apps like Venmo – resulting in as many as four million new tax forms for small businesses.
• His budget would make things even worse. Biden wants to:
  • Slam Americans with at least a dozen tax hikes totaling “$4.7 trillion in new and expanded taxes.”
  • Increase the business tax rate to 28 percent, which the Tax Foundation estimates will kill 129,000 jobs, shrink the economy, and cut wages for low-income Americans.
  • Lower after-tax income by an average of $2,300 next year.
  • Raise the tax burden on over 111 million Americans making under $410,000 according to the Tax Policy Center, a violation of his campaign promise.
    • TPC: “Overall, Biden's tax provisions would reduce after-tax incomes for nearly two-thirds of households.”
  • Raise taxes on 75% of middle-income taxpayers.

In Biden’s America, U.S. energy production is under attack.

• Since day one, Biden has waged a war on American energy. 
  • Biden signed an executive order halting construction of the Keystone XL Pipeline, killing 11,000 U.S. jobs – many of them union jobs. 
  • Biden issued a moratorium on new oil and gas permits on federal lands. 
  • Biden rejoined the disastrous Paris Climate Agreement which economists estimate could cost millions of jobs over the next decade. 
• Under Biden’s leadership, all 50 states have recorded their highest average gas prices ever.  
  • Gas still costs over $1 more per gallon than when Biden took office. 
• On average, Americans have lost over $2,250 paying increased energy costs since Biden took office. 
  • Since Biden took office, the cost of electricity is up 21% and natural gas is up 26%.
  • More than 20 million Americans are now behind on their utility bills as prices rise.
• Biden is threatening to veto a Republican bill to increase domestic energy production, reform permitting processes, and unleash American energy. 

In Biden’s America, we do not have “operational control” of our own border.  

• More than 6.3 million illegal immigrants have crossed the border since Biden took office.   
  • This includes the 1.3 million gotaways who have escaped into the U.S. 
  • For the first time in history, monthly apprehensions at the southern border have surpassed 150,000 for 25 consecutive months.
• The Biden administration has lost track of 85,000 children who crossed the border, and horrific reports of abuse and exploitation have skyrocketed.
• Since Biden took office, over 34,600 pounds of deadly fentanyl have been seized at the southern border.  
  • That’s over 7.8 billion lethal doses of fentanyl, enough to kill every person on the planet.  
  • Federal agents estimate this is only 5% - 10%, if that, of the drugs that are coming across the border. 
  • Fentanyl is now the leading cause of death for Americans 18 to 45-years-old.  
• Homeland Security Investigations estimates that Mexican cartels are now making $13 billion a year smuggling illegal immigrants into the U.S., 26 times what they made in 2018. 

In Biden’s America, students and parents are taking a back seat to far-left teachers union bosses.

• Biden’s Department of Justice targeted concerned and involved parents as “domestic terrorists.”  
• National test results in elementary school math and reading have plummeted to levels we have not seen in more than two decades. 
• In Democrat-run states and cities, school lockdown orders and virtual learning requirements extended for well over a year, even after the toll on students’ mental health became clear.  
• Biden slow walked reopening school for months, even letting teachers union bosses (and major campaign funders) dictate CDC guidance.
• Democrats opposed Republicans’ Parents’ Bill of Rights.

In Biden’s America, crime is rampant in our cities.  

• 9 major cities recorded record homicide numbers in 2022. 
  • 27 of the top 30 cities with the highest murder rates are led by Democrat mayors.
• While crime rises, Democrats want to defund the police and refuse to support law enforcement.  
• Biden won’t stand up to far-left prosecutors like New York’s Alvin Bragg, who are focused on political agendas and freeing criminals instead of protecting citizens.
• In New York City, major crimes have spiked by over 20% each of the last two years.
• Crime spiked in Washington, D.C. by 20% over the last year, but 173 House Democrats still backed the city’s new law to reduce penalties for murders, carjackings, and armed robberies.
• In Chicago, where the DNC will be hosting its convention, overall crime in Chicago increased by 41% last year, and half of all high priority 911 calls in 2022 did not have a police car to respond to it due to police staffing shortages.

In Biden’s America, Democrats are pushing one of the most extreme abortion agendas in the world.

• Democrats support:  
  • Taxpayer funded abortions.  
  • Essentially limitless abortion, without restriction, until the moment of birth.
    • Democrats want to eliminate existing bans on late-term abortions and inhumane, horrific procedures.
  • Stopping states from protecting babies from abortion based on the baby’s sex, race, or Down Syndrome diagnosis.
  • Eliminating parental notification laws, waiting periods, information requirements, and conscience protections for pro-life doctors, nurses, and other health care professionals.
• Democrats’ extreme agenda is out of step with the American people and with other democracies.

In Biden’s America, our adversaries see us as weak.  

• Biden’s disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal left Americans stranded and resulted in the deaths of 13 servicemembers. 
  • Biden has refused any accountability for a full 18 months after he broke his promise to stay until the evacuation was complete.
  • Afghanistan is now “a significant coordination site for the Islamic State as the terrorist group plans attacks.”
• Biden is refusing to confront the Chinese Communist Party. Biden:
  • Has given the CCP a pass on their COVID obstruction.
  • Let a spy balloon gather intelligence from sensitive military sites.
  • Promoted the use of the CCP spyware app TikTok.
  • Pushes a “green” energy agenda that will make the U.S. more dependent on CCP-controlled minerals.
  • Biden greenlit Russia’s Nord Stream II pipeline, handing Putin a massive gift mere months before he invaded Ukraine.
